ASU to wear traditional maroon and gold against Arizona for Territorial Cup
The Territorial Cup between Arizona State and Arizona has generated many different uniform combinations, but Saturday’s threads for the Sun Devils are very familiar.
ASU will be waring the traditional gold helmets, maroon jerseys and gold pants with maroon stripes. That is the exact combo the team donned during a 70-7 beatdown in Tucson last season.

On top of it being the last regular season game of the year, the long-time (37 years) groundskeeper for the Sun Devils will be retiring after the Territorial Cup.
Brian Johnson has brought many unique fields, whether it was honoring Pat Tillman, the maroon monsoons or letting fans pick between two different field designs, Johnson did it all.
ASU home game #236 (and last). RETIRING in the Spring after 37 years😊. What a blessing to work my whole career at ASU. Thanks to all the former student workers who traveled back to help paint. See ya at the stadium one last time tomorrow? pic.twitter.com/SV20eqmuHd

This year, Frank Kush Field will picture the Sparky head with a dark outline of the state of Arizona at the 50-yard-line, with “Arizona State” and “Sun Devils” in the end zone.
Similar to 2019, the acronym “02V” (Onward to Victory) is painted on one 25-yard diagonally across to a hand depicting the ASU pitchfork on the other.
The Sun Devils host the Wildcats at 2 p.m. on ESPN 620 AM and 98.7 FM HD-2.
