The Arizona Cardinals just can’t seem to catch a break.

According to Darren Urban, the team placed cornerback Breon Borders on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday.

The addition marks the second Cardinal to be added to the list after linebacker Markus Golden reportedly was on Monday.

Borders has yet to debut for Arizona after being signed from the Tennessee Titans’ practice squad on Dec. 15.

However, he did appear in 11 games for the Titans this year, registering a total of five tackles and two passes defensed in that time.

The cornerback position has been an interesting one for the Cardinals as of late.

After losing veteran CB Robert Alford to a pectoral injury on Dec. 13, rookie corner Marco Wilson left Saturday’s game with a shoulder injury and his status for Week 17’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys is still up in the air.

And after Arizona agreed to sign CB Bashaud Breeland on Monday, the cornerback tested positive for COVID-19 upon arrival in the Valley and will have to wait until he is negative to sign with the Cardinals, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Arizona has already clinched a playoff spot at 10-5, but still has a chance to win the NFC West and host a postseason game as division champions.

The Cardinals kick off against the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium on Sunday at 2:25 p.m.
