What are the odds that Cardinals catch Rams to sit atop NFC West?

Jan 3, 2022, 11:20 AM

The hyper-competitive NFC West all boils down to the final week of the regular season.

The Arizona Cardinals (11-5) sit a game back of the Los Angeles Rams (12-4) and must win their home game against the Seattle Seahawks to have a shot at taking the division title. They’ll need help from the San Francisco 49ers, who can lock in a playoff berth by beating the Rams on the road — for what it’s worth, San Francisco has won five games in a row over Los Angeles.

If the Cardinals and Rams finish with identical records — via an Arizona win and a Los Angeles loss on Sunday — the tiebreaker goes to Arizona, which split the season series against Los Angeles but will finish with a better division record in this scenario.

Here are the final projections and odds for Arizona to sneak the division title away from Los Angeles heading into Week 18 of the season.
