Arizona Coyotes head coach Andre Tourigny and four players have entered the NHL’s COVID-19 protocols, the team announced on Monday.
Defensemen Jakob Chychrun, Cam Dinnen and Anton Stralman, along with goaltender Scott Wedgewood, will be off the ice until they are cleared.
Goaltending coach Corey Schwab is additionally under protocols.
Arizona canceled a scheduled practice on Monday at Gila River Arena before announcing the additions to the COVID-19 list.
The Coyotes (7-23-3) are next scheduled to face the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday for a nationally televised game on TNT.
Chychrun is a significant loss, as he averages 24:49 time on the ice per outing. He has tallied two goals and five assists in 26 games.
So is Wedgewood, an addition off waivers in early November who has helped to stabilize the team.
The veteran has taken the heavy load of responsibilities off 25-year-old goalie Karel Vejmelka and is 4-7-2 with a .897 save percentage since joining the Coyotes.
