Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker was named to the Professional Football Writers of America All-NFC team for the second straight season on Monday.
Baker was the only Cardinals player to make an All-Pro team (second) and now the PFWA All-conference squad.
The fifth-year veteran had another impactful season as Arizona’s big-gain stopper.
He was fourth on the team in combined tackles with 98 paired with three interceptions, two sacks and six pressures.
He made his mark on many Arizona wins this past season, including a 25-22 victory over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17.
Baker had a sack, a quarterback hit and two pass defenses. He also caught an interception, but it was called back due to a defensive holding penalty on cornerback Antonio Hamilton.
Baker made the All-NFC team with Seattle Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs. The Cardinal missed the cut for the All-NFL team, as Tennessee Titans’ Kevin Byard and Buffalo Bills’ Jordan Poyer edged him out.
Those two were also selected for the All-Pro first team.
Baker made his fourth Pro Bowl this season too, getting voted in along with Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray, edge rusher Chandler Jones and running back James Conner.
