GLENDALE — Arizona Cardinals safety Jalen Thompson is going to give it a go Thursday night against the New Orleans Saints.

After entering the Week 7 matchup as questionable with a hamstring injury, the safety is active.

It’s a good sign for a defense that has impressed over recent weeks. Through six games, Thompson is third on the team with 40 tackles to go along with an interception and four passes defensed. He also has a QB hit.

That’s about the only good news on the injury front for Arizona, however.

For a second straight week, the Cardinals will be without running backs James Conner (ribs) and Darrel Williams (knee). Conner was questionable for the matchup, while Williams was already ruled out along with center Rodney Hudson, offensive lineman Justin Pugh and linebacker Dennis Gardeck.

With Conner and Williams sidelined, the Cardinals will likely turn to Eno Benjamin, Keaontay Ingram and Corey Clement, who was elevated from the practice squad on Thursday. Quarterback Kyler Murray could also see an uptick in carries.

Cornerback Trayvon Mullen (hamstring) and kicker Matt Prater (hip) are also out due to injury.

In place of Prater will is Rodrigo Blankenship.

Another inactive for Arizona is rookie offensive lineman Lecitus Smith, who is a healthy scratch.

As for the Saints, cornerbacks Paulson Adebo (knee) and Marshon Lattimore (abdomen), wide receivers Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle), guard Andrus Peat (chest), tight end Adam Trautman (ankle) and defensive end Payton Turner (chest) are out.
