The Arizona Cardinals have released defensive end Michael Dogbe, the team announced on Thursday.

Dogbe was selected by the Cardinals in the seventh round with the No. 249 overall pick out of Temple in the 2019 NFL Draft.

In his tenure in the Valley, Dogbe compiled 46 tackles (24 solo), three tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, one fumble recovery and four QB hits across 36 games (three starts).

This season, the defensive end has put up 13 tackles (six solo) in nine appearances (two starts), but has yet to register a TFL, QB hit or sack.

Dogbe’s snap count in 2022 has also seen a drop from the beginning of the season.

After playing in a season-high 51% of defensive snaps (36) and in 56% on special teams (15) against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1, Dogbe has not seen 20% of the snap count on either defense or special teams in each of the last four weeks.

The departure leaves the Cardinals with the likes of J.J. Watt, Zach Allen, Leki Fotu, Jonathan Ledbetter and Trysten Hill as defensive linemen still on the roster.

Dogbe was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent following the conclusion of this season.

The Cardinals take on the Rams in Los Angeles at 2:25 p.m. on Arizona Sports 98.7, the Arizona Sports app and ArizonaSports.com.
