World Series schedule for Arizona Diamondbacks against Texas Rangers

PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks reached the World Series for the first time since 2001 after defeating the Philadelphia Phillies in seven games.

The D-backs beat Philly 4-2 on Tuesday at Citizens Bank Park to secure the National League pennant. They guaranteed at least two World Series games at Chase Field.

Their next opponent is the Rangers after Texas beat the No. 2 seed Houston Astros on the road Monday to win the ALCS in seven games. Arizona is the lower seed and will travel to Arlington for Games 1 and 2.
