Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll crushed two home runs in as many innings off Colorado Rockies southpaw Austin Gomber on Wednesday, giving Arizona an early lead and himself another milestone.
Carroll earned his second straight 20-home run, 20-stolen base season, as he has clubbed 19 homers over his last 61 games to reach 21 on the year.

Only five Diamondbacks players have recorded multiple 20-20 campaigns. Chris Young leads with three (2007, 2010 and 2011), while Paul Goldschmidt (2015 and 2016), Justin Upton (2009 and 2011) and Eric Byrnes (2006 and 2007) each have a couple.
Carroll blasted 25 home runs with 54 stolen bases last season and can become the first D-backs player with consecutive 20-30 campaigns. He entered Wednesday with 29 steals.
The 24-year-old is the 14th major leaguer to reach the 20-20 mark this season.
His first home run kicked off a three-run first inning for Arizona coming off back-to-back losses at Coors Field with four runs scored.
Randal Grichuk doubled and scored on a Christian Walker screaming single to left. Pavin Smith walked, and Gabriel Moreno punched an RBI single to center to take a 3-0 lead.
Carroll’s second-inning dinger was a two-run shot, and Grichuk followed a deep homer to center for a 6-0 lead.
