State of the Sun Devils Podcast: Can Arizona State football get back on track against Kansas?
Oct 3, 2024, 5:08 PM
On the latest edition of the State of the Sun Devils podcast, Jeremy Schnell, Jesse Morrison and Damon Allred discuss if Arizona State football can secure its first Big 12 win in program history on Saturday against Kansas.
Arizona State is coming off its first of two bye weeks this season. The Sun Devils last played on Sept. 28 when they took their first loss this season in their conference opener at Texas Tech.
ASU is 3-1 overall and 0-1 in Big 12 play. The Sun Devils started their season with a blowout win over Wyoming. They followed up their win over the Cowboys by taking down Mississippi State in Week 2 and Texas State in Week 3 before losing to the Red Raiders in Week 4.
Kansas was ranked No. 22 in the Associated Press top-25 entering the season. However, the Jayhawks have won just one game this season. They opened their year with a crushing defeat of FCS Lindenwood before losing four straight games.
Kansas’ record is a bit misleading because it has lost three of its four games by one score.
Kickoff from Mountain America Stadium is Saturday at 5 p.m. on Arizona Sports 98.7, the Arizona Sports App and ArizonaSports.com.
