Arizona basketball coach Tommy Lloyd picked up a commitment from five-star wing Dwayne Aristode in the 2025 class, he announced Sunday on Instagram.

Originally from the Netherlands, the 6-foot-8 Aristode has been at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire for his junior and senior seasons of high school. He played for Spanish pro club Joventut Badalona for three years prior.

Aristode is a top-20 prospect overall and top-five small forward in the senior class, according to 247 Sports’ composite ranking.

By the same ranking, Aristode is Arizona’s highest-rated commit in the Lloyd era and the highest since Nico Mannion (No. 9) and Josh Green (No. 13) committed in the 2019 class.

He chose Arizona over Duke, USC, Michigan State and the Australian National Basketball League.

“The winning culture Tommy Lloyd has built at Arizona is remarkable. They play fast and have the right balance between structure and giving players freedom,” Aristode told ESPN’s Jonathan Givony on Sunday.

He has a pedigree of a strong and physical game, according to 247 Sports’ Adam Finkelstein’s scouting report.

“Aristode is a jumbo wing with a ton of physical tools that should ultimately translate into a versatile two-way game. He has terrific positional size at 6-foot-8 and an equally impressive frame. He’s not exceptionally long, with a 6-foot-10 wingspan, but is already strong and physical. He’s a high-level athlete who runs very well, is an explosive leaper and can play up above the rim with ease.”

Lloyd’s first commitment in the 2025 class, Aristode continues a trend of global prospects picking Arizona.

International players on this year’s roster include Anthony Dell’Orso of Australia, Henri Veesaar of Estonia, Mo Krivas of Lithuania, Jackson Cook of England, Emmanuel Stephen of Nigeria, Sven Djopmo of France and Conrad Martinez of Spain.
