Jalen Bridges shines as Valley Suns drop opening game to Santa Cruz Warriors

Valley Suns forward Jalen Bridges scored 26 points as the Suns dropped its season opener and first ever G League game to the Santa Cruz Warriors 133-118 Friday night.
Bridges finished the game shooting 10-20 from the field, including 5 of 11 from three-point range with three assists and two rebounds.

Valley native TyTy Washington Jr. scored 21 points and added five assists and five rebounds.
Jaden Shackelford had a good game off the bench, registering 23 points on 6 of 11 shooting, including 5 of 10 with three-point range with two rebounds and two assists.

Warriors center Quinten Post led the way for Santa Cruz, registering 28 points, 15 rebounds and three assists. Forward Kevin Knox II scored 24 points with six rebounds and an assist.
The Suns face off against the Warriors again in Santa Cruz at Kaiser Permanente Arena Saturday night. Tip-off is at 8 p.m. MST and can be watched on the G League YouTube page.
