Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Jarrod Dyson left Wednesday’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals after suffering a right groin injury.

During the seventh inning in which the Cardinals took a 3-2 lead, Dyson made a play on a ball in the outfield before grimacing in pain and appearing to be holding his groin/leg area.

He was immediately replaced by A.J. Pollock, who has been working his way back from injury himself.

The injury, however, might have taken place before the throw.

During the bottom of the sixth inning, Dyson slipped rounding third base before scoring a run for the D-backs.

According to D-backs manager Torey Lovullo after the game, Dyson felt some discomfort in his right groin area and would be re-evaluated Thursday morning.

He was placed on the 10-day disabled list prior to Thursday’s game against the San Diego Padres with a strained right groin.
