The Phoenix Suns announced their 2016 Summer League roster on Friday.
It is a 13-man squad that consists of 11 rookies, and two players with just one year under their belt.
Those two are Devin Booker and Alan Williams, who finished the Suns’ 2015 regular season strong.
Booker was named to the All-Rookie First Team after averaging 13.8 points per game in 27.7 minutes played per game in the 76 games he appeared in. Booker started 51 of those games, and quickly became a fan favorite, as he set numerous Suns’ rookie records, including three-pointers made in a game.
Williams played 10 games for the Suns late in the season, and averaged 2.9 points and 3.8 rebounds in 6.8 minutes played per game. After originally signing a 10-day contract with the Suns in March, Williams played well enough to earn himself a multi-year deal.
Others on the roster include the Suns’ three draft selections in Dragan Bender, Marquese Chriss and Tyler Ulis.
Former collegiate players who made their mark while at school who will be with the Suns’ include Colorado’s Askia Booker and Louisville’s Kyle Kuric.
The roster rounds out with Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Alec Brown, UC Santa Barbara’s Michael Bryson, Wyoming’s Derek Cooke, Ohio State’s Shannon Scott, California’s Richard Solomon and Indiana’s Troy Williams.
The Suns begin workouts Wednesday for the NBA Summer League, which kicks off July 8. The Suns begin action against the Portland Trail Blazers July 9 at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas.
The team will be led by Suns assistant coach Nate Bjorkgren.
