Call it a bench squad reunion.
The Phoenix Suns have agreed to a two-year, $8 million contract with free agent guard Leandro Barbosa, reports The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Barbosa becomes the second signing this offseason by the rebuilding Suns, who reunite the 33-year-old guard with former super-sub Jared Dudley.

ESPN’s Ramona Shelbourne confirmed the signing and added the second year is a team option.

Barbosa averaged 6.4 points and 1.2 assists per game with the NBA Final runner-up Golden State Warriors last season.
It’s the Brazilian Blur’s third run with Phoenix.
The Suns acquired Barbosa after the San Antonio Spurs picked him with the 28th overall pick in 2003. He played for Phoenix from 2003-2010 before stints with Toronto, Indiana and Boston.
Following a knee injury, Barbosa rehabbed and then was signed in the middle of the Suns’ 2013-14 season when Phoenix dealt with injuries to the backcourt of Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic. Barbosa played the last two years for the Golden State Warriors.
Barbosa won the Sixth Man of the Year honor in 2007 as a member of the Suns.
Phoenix’s latest signing again points toward a conservative approach this free agency period. Barbosa, who could play at either guard spot, adds depth to a backcourt that also includes Bledsoe, Brandon Knight, Devin Booker, Archie Goodwin and rookie Tyler Ulis.
