Rapper rapper DMX is slated to fight George Zimmerman — the man found not guilty in the shooting of teenager Trayvon Martin — in an upcoming boxing exhibition.
An initial report from Radar Online revealed Zimmerman, who stated boxing was a main hobby of his prior to the Martin incident, was looking for an opponent to face in an event held by Celebrity Boxing owner Damon Feldman.
Feldman told CNN that less than an hour after the news was announced he had received 8,000 e-mail from potential opponents.
Now with more than 15,000 people flooding his email, including rapper The Game and current UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, Feldman selected the popular New York rapper DMX as the man to step into the ring against Zimmerman.
DMX then eloquently promised that “I am going to beat the living [expletive] out him…I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I [expletive] him right up.”
The date, time and location of the three-round fight will be announced at a news conference Wednesday.
