The Suns biggest target this offseason has decided not to come to Phoenix.
LaMarcus Aldridge will sign with the San Antonio Spurs.
I'm happy to say I'm going home to Texas and will be a Spur!! I'm excited to join the team and be close to my family and friends.

Aldridge, 29, is a four-time All-Star who played the first nine seasons of his career in Portland for the Trail Blazers. Last season, he averaged a career-best 23.4 points to go with 10.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
Aldridge was the star the Suns have been looking for on the open market. The Spurs were always the favorite, but the Suns became a real contender once they signed Tyson Chandler.
From there the Suns would make another move towards signing Aldridge, trading Marcus Morris, Reggie Bullock, and Danny Granger to the Detroit Pistons for a 2020 second-round pick. That move would leave the Suns one trade away from having the cap space to sign Aldridge.
