The 27-year-old Swede was originally drafted by the Nashville Predators in 2008 but did not begin playing in North America until 2010.
Lindback was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2012 and, after two poor seasons, signed for the Dallas Stars before being traded to the Buffalo Sabres to finish out last season.
He has a career .905 save percentage and 2.83 goals against average.
