Hockey players won’t be the only professional athletes in attendance when the Arizona Coyotes host the Detroit Red Wings on March 16, as that night the Coyotes will host D-backs Night.
Various D-backs players will be at Gila River Arena for the game, with each having a different role.
Outfielder A.J. Pollock will do the ceremonial puck drop, while Luis Gonzalez will serve as Top Dog (ceremonial captain) for the night. D-backs mascot Baxter will join Coyotes mascot Howler in signing autographs for children during the first intermission.
Additionally, D-backs in-game organist Bobby Freeman will play throughout the game.
The D-backs will return the favor during their season when they host Coyotes Night on Sept. 8.
