Playing for the Erie Otters in the Canadian Hockey League playoffs, Coyotes prospect Dylan Strome set the Memorial Cup tournament records with four goals and seven points scored in a 12-5 victory Monday.

The third overall pick from the 2015 NHL Draft broke the single-game point record, which has been accomplished four times, by one.

After the victory over Saint John in Windsor, Ontario, Strome’s Otters move on to face the host team on Wednesday. With a win, Erie would advance to the tournament’s finals, while a loss would require the team to win a single-game elimination semifinal in order to reach the finals.

The 20-year-old Strome, who is captain of the Otters, won the 2015 Ontario Hockey League scoring title.

Some of Strome’s future Arizona teammates were watching, including forward Max Domi.
