A behind-the-scenes shot of Kevin Durant walking the halls of Oracle Arena following the Warriors’ title win over the Cavaliers Monday might have caught the eye of Phoenix Suns fans.
The newly-minted NBA Finals MVP stopped for a long embrace with former Suns point guard Steve Nash.
Nash, of course, arguably only fell a Joe Johnson facial fracture and a Ron Artest putback prayer short of advancing to the championship series himself with Phoenix.
As of last season, he joined his former general manager, Steve Kerr, on the Golden State staff as a player development consultant.
And while serving out championship rings like hot cakes tends to happen when a team wins a title, it didn’t go overlooked that — as detached as a player development consultant might be — the two-time MVP certainly deserves some bling.
Even if it’s not for his work with the Suns.

"Just like Durant" ? Durant won all of the rings for every person who was "gifted" a ring. David West was "gifted" a ring as well as scrubs JaVale McGee, Zaza Pachulia and Matt Barnes.
Disagree. Every last one of those Warriors players on that bench deserve and contributed more to that ring than Steve Nash.
Honestly see Nash as hitching up with the Warriors for the free ring and to stick it to the Suns, who didn't let him get his Kobe-like retirement tour in Phoenix.
Nash is on my top 5 favorite Suns with KJ, Barkley, Amare, and Marion. But just being honest. Warriors didn't need Kevin Durant to win this title, Harrison Barnes would've worked out just fine..and they need Steve Nash even less.
So Nash got a ring gifted to him just like Durant?
Well I'll be damned? Christmas in Oakland!
