Draymond Green, LeBron James show the offseason is petty season

Jun 15, 2017, 9:37 PM | Updated: 9:50 pm

The NBA season doesn’t end.

As LeBron James posted a video to announce he’s already prepping for redemption following his Cavaliers’ loss in the NBA Finals, the champion Warriors were readying for their victory parade.

Draymond Green, two years after channeling his inner E-40 along with reporter Rosalyn Gold-Onwude, appeared a little more conversational during the Warriors’ title parade in 2017.

Of note was his shirt, which read “Quickie” with the ‘Q’ sporting a similar font to the Cavs’ home, Quicken Loans Arena.

“The Q, that’s what those guys’ arena’s called,” Green explained to Gold-Onwude, adding special assistant to the coach Nick U’Ren helped get the shirts printed. “We got ’em out here quick with the trophy: ‘Quickie.’

“We actually got them made in Cleveland — how ’bout that.”

Anyhow, James took notice of Green’s shirt and was sure to take a shot at the Warriors forward via Instagram.

…. That's what she said, HUH?!?!? 🤔🤔😂😂.

Green responded with his own Instagram post. Predictably, he noticed LeBron’s thinning hair had finally been taken down to the skin.

Them dubs finally made him go bald!!! Congrats bro @kingjames

But the outspoken Warriors forward wasn’t done there. He used his microphone session during the parade to tell James he was the reason for the superteam phenomenon in the NBA.

“You started the superteam, bro!” he told James.

And yes, while Green and James have a healthy friendship off the court, it’s clear the NBA offseason shall be more accurately known as petty season.

“I’m petty,” Green confirmed on Thursday, in case you hadn’t figured it out already.
