Cam Skattebo headbutts walls in new State Farm commercial
Skattebo, of all people, probably needs insurance the most.
Former Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo has taken a crucial step in growing his celebrity: appearing in a State Farm commercial alongside the iconic Jake from State Farm.
Whether it’s brawling at WWE Monday Night Raw, doing backflips while rehabbing a severe ankle injury or sitting next to social media star Hasbulla at UFC 322, Skattebo is never one to shy away from the spotlight.
In a commercial released by State Farm two weeks ago, Skattebo leans into his boisterous, sometimes reckless personality in a series of headbutts: first going after a fly with his noggin instead of using a rolled-up magazine, then using it to fix a parallel parking job and finally opting for a headbutt instead of a handshake while greeting a waiter at a fancy restaurant.
The theme of the commercial was for Jake from State Farm to “get to know the real Cam Skattebo” as a way to promote the insurance company’s ability to personalize its customers’ policies.
Fans took notice of the commercial, with it being played multiple times during ABC’s coverage of ASU-Texas A&M Saturday morning. Some have pointed out the irony in the idea that Skattebo, of all people, probably needs insurance the most.
Cam Skattebo seems like the wrong State Farm ambassador… brother do YOU have insurance?

While his stardom off the field grows, Skattebo is expected to be back on it Sunday evening as he returns to the New York Giants from last season’s gruesome injury in their matchup with the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.
