A native of Watsonville, California, Dylan initially attended the University of Washington, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in philosophy in 2024. After that, he decided to combine his writing skills and passion for sports by pursuing a career in sports journalism and attending Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication for his master’s degree. After graduating in 2025, he began working for The IX Sports as a beat reporter for the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury.
