The Arizona Coyotes announced Wednesday the signing of former Anaheim Ducks forward Emerson Etem to a one-year deal.

The contract is a two-way deal, according to the team.

Etem has experience playing right wing, a position that Coyotes GM John Chayka said he’d like bolster. Not to mention, the Coyotes just lost right wing Radim Vrbata in free agency.

The 25-year-old Etem has played parts of five NHL seasons with the Ducks, New York Rangers and Vancouver Canucks.

Last season with Anaheim, the former first-round draft pick played just three games at the NHL level and one more in the AHL, but scored 7-8-15 in 58 games with 13:09 in average ice time in 2015-16.

He has 15 goals and 16 assists in 115 career NHL games.
