Arians: Cardinals’ Humphries, Branch, Momah all done for season

The Arizona Cardinals suffered a 22-16 loss to the Seahawks on Thursday night, but they also suffered losses at multiple positions on the depth chart.
Head coach Bruce Arians announced Friday that offensive tackle D.J. Humphries, safety Tyvon Branch and tight end Ifeanyi Momah were all done for the season after going down with injuries against Seattle.
“D.J. Humphries’ ACL is fine, it’s his MCL,” Arians said. “But he dislocated his knee cap. He’ll be on IR. His prognosis is a lot better than an ACL, it’s probably three months before he’ll be back.
“That’s kind of been a chronic MCL for him now because he had a brace on. So that should fix that problem that he’s had. It’s a shame because he was playing really, really well.”
Humphries, 23, has started five games for the Cardinals this season, his third since being drafted in the first round (24th overall) in 2015.
“Tyvon Branch will have a cartilage repair today because his knee’s locked,” Arians said. “He’ll have ACL surgery later, once that comes down.”
Branch left Thursday’s game in the middle of the first quarter after defending a touchdown catch by Jimmy Graham. The 30-year-old started nine games for Arizona this year and had six passes defensed and 66 tackles.
“Ifeanyi Momah has a broken leg and may need reconstruction on his ankle,” Arians added.
All three players will go on injured reserve and are out for the remainder of the season.
“Other than that, bumps and bruises, got 10 days to heal up,” Arians said.
After discussing injuries, Arians said that Jared Veldheer will move to left tackle and John Wetzel will go back to right tackle.
