Blue Jackets trade John Ramage to Coyotes for future considerations

The Arizona Coyotes announced Monday they had traded for Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman John Ramage in exchange for future considerations.
Ramage, 26, played in 33 games for the Cleveland Monsters this season with two goals, seven assists and a minus-10 plus-minus. He was originally drafted in the fourth round of the 2010 NHL Draft by the Calgary Flames and has since played in just two NHL games — one with the Flames and one with the Blue Jackets.
Coincidentally, the Blue Jackets play the Coyotes in Glendale on Thursday, though Ramage will report to the Tucson Roadrunners (AHL), per 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s Craig Morgan.
The move comes less than two weeks after Arizona shipped AHL defenseman Adam Clendening to the Chicago Blackhawks in the Anthony Duclair trade, so Ramage could add depth to the Roadrunners’ blue line after that departure. Like Clendening, Ramage is a right-handed shot.
