After defeating the previously unbeaten Jacksonville Sharks 58-48 May 3, the Arizona Rattlers have regained the top spot in the Arena Football vPower Rankings.
Nick Davila threw for 251 yards and six touchdowns — including four to receiver Rod Windsor — in the Rattlers’ ten-point win.
The win was the third straight for Arizona, who now stand at 6-1 on the season. Until the loss, Jacksonville (6-1) topped the vPower Rankings, that were introduced prior to week Week 7.
The Rattlers will look to extend their winning streak to four in a row when they host the Utah Blaze at Ak-Chin Field at US Airways Center Saturday. Arizona defeated Utah 77-49 in Salt Lake City in Week 2 of the season behind a strong defensive effort. The Rattlers intercepted Utah quarterbacks six times, returning three for touchdowns.
