Devin Booker left the Phoenix Suns’ 115-110 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday after taking a knee to his left side of his torso.

The team listed him out for the game with a hip pointer injury.

Already dealing with a rib injury, Booker attempted to help on defense against a driving Cody Zeller with 6:53 left in the game but got kneed as Zeller scored an and-one. Booker fell to the ground and grabbed at his left hip area.

He remained in the game, clearly in pain, before asking to come out and walking to the locker room.

“Feeling alright,” Booker said after the game. “I couldn’t really move so I didn’t want to let the team down.

“We have a really good training staff. We’ll take it day-by-day.”

Phoenix was already reeling having given up a double-digit lead in the third quarter. The Hornets outscored the Suns 20-2 to begin the fourth quarter to build a 106-96 lead on the point scored on Zeller’s free throw made following Booker’s foul.

Booker finished the game with 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting and nine assists.

He started at point guard alongside Josh Jackson, T.J. Warren, Dragan Bender and Tyson Chandler.
