Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals is a man who wears many hats.
He’s the third-leading receiver of all-time, he’s a photographer, a philanthropist and a traveler. He’s a champion golfer and now it appears he’s adding NBA scout to his business card.
After taking in the Phoenix Suns’ loss to Oklahoma City Friday night in Phoenix, Fitz was on Tobacco Road the next night, watching the Duke-North Carolina clash at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham. Well, he wasn’t just taking it in, in his own words.
Good times last night. Was there doing some scouting for the @suns squad. It would be awesome to have @MB3FIVE come back home and team up with @devinbook. https://t.co/6PbmLaWQqH

Fitzgerald had his eye on Duke freshman Marvin Bagley III, a Tempe native, who had 21 points, 15 rebounds and two blocked shots in the Blue Devils’ 74-64 win.
Bagley is expected to be a high lottery pick in June, which could mean his return to the Valley, and to use Fitzgerald’s words, team up with budding Suns star Devin Booker.Of course the possibility of having Booker and Bagley on the court together is enticing, and the marketing possibilities for the duo would be endless. Imagine how many companies would line up to sponsor Book-Bag Night?
