Diamondbacks option 2, reassign 6 to Minor League camp

The Arizona Diamondbacks have optioned two players to its Triple-A affiliate and reassigned six others to Minor League camp, the team announced Saturday.
Right-handed pitcher Jake Barrett and left-handed pitcher Jared Miller were optioned to the Reno Aces, the D-backs Triple-A affiliate in Nevada.
Right-handed pitchers Ryan Atkinson, Taylor Clarke and Taylor Widener were all reassigned to Minor League camp along with infielder Kevin Cron, left-handed pitcher Yuhei Nakaushiro and catcher Michael Perez.
With the roster moves Saturday, 51 players remain in Major League camp.
The D-backs take on the Kansas City Royals Saturday at 1:10 p.m. at Salt River Fields. All of the action can be heard live on ESPN 620 AM.
