Gortat and Siler spent five-days with an NBA great

Last week we told you that Marcin Gortat and Garret Siler were in Houston to work with Suns slayer hall of famer Hakeem Olajuwon. The five-days’ worth of workouts are over and it sounds like the trip was a success for the Suns big men.

Head coach Alvin Gentry said he’d talked to his players and they felt it was a invaluable experience.

“They thought that Hakeem is an unbelievable teacher,” the coach told the media Wednesday. “They felt they learned a lot down there. They spent a lot of time, at least three, three and a half hours, on the court with him. He took them and showed them his workout. It was nothing but positive really.”

Over fifteen hours of direct instruction from one of the all-time great centers in NBA history will do nothing but help Gortat and Siler continue to improve.
