Grant Hill leaning towards Knicks?

Dec 7, 2011, 4:40 PM | Updated: 4:43 pm

It was widely thought — maybe even assumed — that Grant
Hill would return to the Suns.

The team wanted him back and, as far as anyone knew, he
wanted to come back.

That may not be the case anymore.

According to the New York Post, Hill may be in a New
York state of mind.

Grant Hill’s interest in joining the Knicks and being
slotted as their starting shooting guard on a potential
Eastern Conference contender is growing by the day, and
there is a sense he is leaning toward the Big Apple.

That would be a blow to the Suns, who were hoping to
retain one of their veteran leaders and best defensive
player.

But, the Knicks do have things to offer that the Suns do
not, including a chance to play for former coach Mike
D’Antoni, who will lead a team that is considered to be
among the East’s best. There’s also, of course, that New
York lifestyle.

But, the Suns do have one of the league’s most highly-
regarded training staffs, a group that has helped Hill
play in 313 of a possible 328 games the last four seasons,
something that didn’t even seem possible when he signed
with Phoenix.
