On the night their alma mater advanced to the Sweet 16, twin brothers Markieff and Marcus Morris played in the same professional game for the first time in their careers
They never matched-up against one another, though Markieff did set a screen on Marcus, which freed Michael Redd for a 16-foot jumper mid-way through the second quarter.
The Morris’ played for three years together at Kansas and nearly were teammates again in the NBA.
In last year’s draft the Suns selected Markieff with the 13th overall pick. They then considered acquiring Houston’s pick, Marcus, who went number 14 overall, for the Suns 2012 first round pick.
