Did Jared Dudley dunk for the 3rd time this year?

Mar 19, 2012, 4:06 PM | Updated: 5:07 pm

The Suns win their season-high fourth straight game,
putting them over .500 for the first time all season but
the talk in the locker-room after the game was what
happened—or perhaps what didn’t happen, at the 8:54 mark
of the first quarter.

The official stat sheet says:

Dudley 1′ FB Dunk (Nash)

So, Dudley—who predicted 18 dunks this season, put down
his third of the year.

“If it counted as a dunk it is a dunk,” said Dudley before
hurrying out of the locker-room.

“It must not have been (a dunk) because I can’t remember
it,” said Grant Hill.

“No!” yelled Hakim Warrick. “He’s still got two (dunks).
It was a power lay-up. No way.”

Steve Nash—Suns co-captain, please put an end to this
controversy.

“It was not a dunk. I don’t care what anyone says,”
explained the two-time MVP. “I wouldn’t even take that as
a dunk and I haven’t dunked for at least a couple of
weeks.”
