Former Suns point guard Tyler Ulis is moving from worst to first.

He has agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Golden State Warriors, according to the Athletic’s Anthony Slater.

Ulis will have a non-guaranteed contract in which he will make a $50,000 bonus if the Warriors cut him but place him on the G League affiliate. The contract can be also converted to a two-way contract if the Warriors elect to keep him.

The Phoenix Suns waived Ulis on June 30 after selecting French point guard Elie Okobo at No. 31 overall in the 2018 NBA Draft. With Ulis’ contract being non-guaranteed, the Suns saved $1.5 million with the move.

Ulis played in 132 games, making 58 starts for Phoenix. He averaged 7.6 points, 4.1 assists and 1.7 rebounds during his stint with the team.

There were high expectations for the second-round pick, but he failed to meet them as his shooting percentages dropped in his second year in the league.

Despite his shortcomings last season, the Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings also offered him deals, according to ESPN’s Marc Spears.

Ulis reportedly picked the Warriors over them. Golden State currently has Stephen Curry, Shaun Livingston and Quinn Cook at the point guard spot, all of whom contributed last season.
