Didier Drogba scores, leads Phoenix Rising to conference finals
Phoenix Rising FC made history on Friday night, advancing to the USL Cup conference finals for the first time in organization history after defeating Swope Park Rangers, 4-2, in front of a record crowd of 7,707.

Phoenix Rising FC made history on Friday night, advancing to the USL Cup conference finals for the first time in organization history after defeating Swope Park Rangers, 4-2, in front of a record crowd of 7,707.
Rising’s international star, Didier Drogba, sealed the win with a goal in the 94th minute.

Drogba added an assist on a Chris Cortez goal in the 36th minute while Jason Johnson and Kevon Lambert were the other Rising goalscorers.
Rising entered the USL playoffs as the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.
They defeated Portland Timbers 2, 3-0, last Friday in the opening playoff round.
Rising will face either Orange County SC or Reno 1868 SC in the conference finals before a potential trip to the USL Cup final on Nov. 8
