There goes that man, again.

Arizona State running back Eno Benjamin went to work in a hurry against the Fresno State Bulldogs in the Las Vegas Bowl on Saturday, breaking a Sun Devil record in the process.

Down 10-7 early on, the running back opened up the second quarter with a burst, going 11 yards on the first play of the quarter.

But he wasn’t done there.

Benjamin followed that up later in the drive with another double-digit scamper — this one 13 yards — to set up an ASU first down deep in Fresno State territory. He would only need one more touch as the running back sidestepped his way up the field for the 17-yard score.

In addition to taking the 14-10 lead over the Bulldogs, Benjamin also etched his name in the ASU record books.

With the drive, the sophomore broke Woody Green’s single-season rushing record (1,565), which was set in 1972.

But that wasn’t the only single-season record the running back broke this season.

Against Oregon State, Benjamin compiled 312 rushing yards, breaking a record held since 1973.

Benjamin continued to roll in the first half for the Sun Devils, accumulating 92 yards and the score on 14 carries. He’s also caught one pass for 13 yards.

But just as it looked as though the running back would continue to pour it on in the second half, Benjamin failed to have the same success he did earlier in the game.

After going for almost 100 yards in the first half, Benjamin was only able to muster 27 yards on just nine carries.

He finishes the season with 1,642 yards on the ground.

The rest of the ASU offense was also stymied in the second half, as Fresno State held the Sun Devils to just three points in the final two quarters, winning the Las Vegas Bowl 31-20.
