The Phoenix Suns will face the San Antonio Spurs for a Dec. 14 game in Mexico City, making for one of the NBA’s two regular-season matchups outside of the United States and Canada this coming season.

With the Dallas Mavericks and Detroit Pistons also making the trek to play in a game two days earlier, the NBA will for the first time have four teams play in Mexico during one regular season.

The Phoenix-San Antonio game marks the league’s 30th game in Mexico since 1992. It’s the fourth season in a row the NBA has played two regular-season games in Mexico City.

“We had a transcendent experience hosting two regular-season games in Mexico City in 2017 and our entire organization is excited about returning to Mexico as a home team next season,” said Suns president and CEO Jason Rowley in a statement.

“Our relationship with Mexico is special and it’s a tremendous opportunity to continue engaging our growing group of supporters in that region, while helping expand the NBA and the game of basketball to a very passionate fan base.”

Phoenix also faced San Antonio in its 2017 trip to Mexico City, beating the Spurs 108-105. Devin Booker scored 39 points to push the Suns past the Spurs and star Kawhi Leonard, who scored 38 points.
