Elie Okobo, Jalen Lecque and Ray Spalding are on the Phoenix Suns' 2019 Vegas Summer League roster.

The Phoenix Suns released their 2019 NBA Summer League roster that will begin a run in Las Vegas against the Denver Nuggets on Friday.

The team includes second-year point guard Elie Okobo and forward Ray Spalding, both of whom played for Phoenix last season. Also on the roster is undrafted rookie Jalen Lecque, who signed a multi-year deal with Phoenix, and fellow point guard Jared Harper, who led Auburn to a Final Four berth this past college basketball season.

The Suns’ two first-round picks from last year’s draft, Deandre Ayton and Mikal Bridges, are not on the roster having gained extensive experience in the starting lineups for the NBA squad in 2018-19.

Assistant coach Willie Green will be the team’s head coach.

Phoenix is expected to see a roster shakeup after its first game of the Vegas Summer League. On July 6, draft-day trades will go through that will formally allow No. 11 NBA Draft pick Cam Johnson and No. 24 overall selection Ty Jerome to join the Suns.

Johnson, a forward out of North Carolina, was acquired after Phoenix traded down from its No. 6 spot in the draft to acquire power forward Dario Saric from the Minnesota Timberwolves, who selected Jarrett Culver with the Suns’ first-round pick.

Jerome, a Virginia product, was drafted by the Boston Celtics, who will trade the guard and center Aron Baynes to the Suns for a future first-round choice originally owned by the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Suns could have their two first-round picks available for a Sunday night game against the New York Knicks.
