The Arizona Cardinals drafted three wide receivers this summer trying to bolster their new offense.

With some offseason signings as well, the Cardinals are looking to find the third and fourth receiver behind Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk.

NFL.com’s Gregg Rosenthal put the Cardinals battle at the wide receivers position as one of the top training camp battles to watch.

He listed that the battle will involve Andy Isabella, Hakeem Butler, Chad Williams, Kevin White and Pharoh Cooper.

Isabella was selected late in the second round after the Miami Dolphins traded the pick to the Cardinals for quarterback Josh Rosen. He put up big numbers at Massachusetts his senior year scoring 13 touchdowns and racking up 1,698 receiving yards, which led all of NCAA football.

Butler was taken in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Iowa State. In his senior year, he had 1,318 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 13 games.

White was signed in the offseason after three seasons with the Chicago Bears. He was selected No. 7 overall in the 2015 NFL Draft and has played in only 14 games in three years in the league.

Cooper and Williams were both on the team last year.

Williams was drafted by the Cardinals in 2017 and only has one touchdown in his first two years.

Cooper was previously with the Los Angeles Rams before he was waived and the Cardinals claimed him last season.

Most of the players on this list are mostly unproven at the NFL level and that’s what makes the wide receiver battle even more interesting.

However, one notable player missing from this list is Cardinals 2019 sixth-round pick KeeSean Johnson.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said that Johnson has picked up on the offense very well early on.

In training camp, Johnson has impressed and GM Steve Kiem is a big believer in the rookie.

“So far, early on, KeeSean Johnson has looked fantastic,” Kiem said on NFL Network on Sunday. “He’s a guy that I think could break out as a rookie. He’s a really natural runner, a natural route-runner. To me, one of the best route-runners in the draft. To be able to get him on later on day three was a good get.”

With three rookies and three more unproven receivers in the mix, the Cardinals could go in multiple directions before deciding their 53-man roster on Aug. 31.

Rosenthal had the Washington Redskins quarterback and wide receiver battle, plus the San Francisco 49ers wide receiver battle in his top 3 contests to watch during training camp.
