In Sunday’s Cardinals vs. Browns game, Cleveland wide receiver Jarvis Landry was seen in what appeared to be a heated discussion with his head coach, Freddie Kitchens.

On Monday, NFL.com’s Mike Silver reported that Landry was also among multiple Browns players who yelled at the Cardinals’ sideline, “Come get me,” as a way of requesting that Arizona acquire them from Cleveland in the offseason, according to two of Silver’s sources.

Kliff Kingsbury joined Bickley & Marotta on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station shortly after Silver’s report came out. He said he did not hear any such remarks being made.

“I didn’t see any of that going on,” Kingsbury said. “We’d love to have a bunch of top free agents want to be a part of this organization for a myriad of reasons. Incredible place to live, great fans, and hopefully great offense, great defense and a chance to win football games.”

Landry told reporters after the game that he was frustrated with Kitchens over a lack of touches in what eventually was a 38-24 Browns loss.

“I just went to ask for the ball,” Landry said. “I felt like I hadn’t touched the ball since the first quarter and we were inside of 10 minutes left in the fourth and I hadn’t touched the ball.”

Kitchens didn’t seem to have anything bad to say about his receiver.

“Listen, I love Jarvis Landry,” he said. “Jarvis is my kind of player as far as (being) fiery, and things happen, and it’s not a big deal. I’m pretty sure it’s not a big deal if you ask him. It’s an emotional game. I love Jarvis.”

Landry has three years left after this year of a five-year, $75.5 million deal.
