Brandon Aiyuk’s minor injury that took him out of Senior Bowl action won’t inhibit his ability to participate in the NFL Draft Combine. The Arizona State receiver will be “full go” at the pre-draft evaluation event that begins in earnest next Thursday, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports.

The injury that was flagged leading into Senior Bowl practices was reportedly a “minor hip issue,” according to SunDevilSource.com. Pelissero called it a minor groin problem.

In any case, a healthy Aiyuk could help his stock at the combine.

Aiyuk went through Senior Bowl measurements and interviews in late January despite being shelved, and he measured in at 5-foot-11 and 201 pounds with an impressive 6-foot-9 wingspan.

Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy said then that NFL scouts told him that Aiyuk had graded better as a pro prospect than former Sun Devil teammate N’Keal Harry, who went at the end of the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Now, executives and scouts will finally get a chance to see Aiyuk and his athletic profile that helped him record 1,192 receiving yards as a senior despite sitting out the Sun Bowl. His 18.3 yards per catch showed his big-play ability, and thanks to his speed, Aiyuk is expected to cook as an athlete at the combine.
