The Phoenix Suns offense is sizzling hot and it continued on Sunday when the team dropped 47 points on the Milwaukee Bucks in the first quarter, an amount that ranks second in Suns’ history.

Phoenix’s ability to drain baskets from beyond the arc was a focal point in the opening quarter, as the team hit 9-of-14 3-pointers after making 19 in a win against the Trail Blazers on Friday night.

Four of the 3-point baskets came from All-Star guard Devin Booker, who ended the quarter with 20 points. He ended with 36 points.

Phoenix kept the momentum going for the remainder of the contest and beat the Bucks 140 to 131.

The team is now 25-0 in franchise history when scoring at least 42 points in the first quarter.

The league-best Bucks entered the game with 52 victories so far on the year, but were missing Giannis Antetokounmpo due to injury.
