Cardinals’ Chase Edmonds rallies back, picks up win with Suns on NBA2K

Everyone wants to win while playing video games, but everyone also does not want to get embarrassed.
That’s where Arizona Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds was headed when he controlled the Phoenix Suns on NBA2K20 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, represented by Miami Dolphins defensive end Shaq Lawson.
Edmonds was down 19 through the first quarter. To his credit, he kept playing his game and eventually pulled ahead in the third quarter. From there, he held on tight to a lead and won 75-65 in the most entertaining game yet as the Suns continue to play out the rest of their season on Twitch.
Unlike a few other games that have gotten out of hand against the Suns on the broadcasts, Edmonds wasn’t afraid to change things up when struggling. He called timeouts, made subs and switched up his defense to a 2-3 zone, and he saw immediate results from those tweaks.
Edmonds outscored Lawson 22-7 in the second quarter, bringing the energy on stream and riding that to a composed second-half performance.

In what has become a theme of players who have come out on top with the Suns, Edmonds fully unlocked Deandre Ayton.
Edmonds did a nice job of finding the big fella when he was open on the roll and around the rim, with Ayton’s rebounding prowess doing the rest of the job. Ayton had 17 points and 16 rebounds.

UP NEXT
Phoenix has seven games left on its virtual schedule, with the next game up on Friday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
On that same day, Ayton and Devin Booker will be representing the Suns in ESPN’s broadcast of a 16-player NBA2K tournament.
