The Arizona Diamondbacks will begin their abbreviated 2020 season schedule on July 24 at Petco Park in San Diego to face the Padres at 6:10 p.m.
The D-backs’ first home game is on July 30 against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Major League Baseball announced team schedules on Monday for a 60-game season that was reduced from the normal 162 games because of the coronavirus pandemic.
It had been previously revealed that schedules would be based regionally and that each team would play 40 games against their division foes and 20 interleague games against the corresponding division. For instance, the Diamondbacks will play 20 games against American League West division teams.
Leading up to the season, teams are playing spring training 2.0 in their own ballparks, and up to three exhibition games against other teams can be scheduled leading up to opening day. The D-backs have two against the Dodgers in mid July.
