NBA “snitch line” parody video advises against listening to Kelly Oubre

NBA players have reportedly made use of the anonymous hotline provided by the league to report breaches of coronavirus and bubble-related protocol.

Some people on Twitter immediately began making jokes Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Chris Paul is the “snitch” — remember earlier this season when he earned his team a technical free throw when pointing out that an opposing player entered the game with an untucked jersey? — but CBS Sports took it a step further.

The CBS social team put together a video pretending to be on the hotline, recording complaints made by players. Phoenix Suns forward Kelly Oubre earned a spot.

“No, we do not advise listening to anything Kelly Oubre says,” the CBS man on the phone says.

It’s a call-back to Oubre tweeting that players are allowed to pick up delivery, only for Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes to be put back into quarantine when he did just that.

Former Suns player Robin Lopez and his twin brother Brook were mentioned. Robin has a tendency to fight mascots, so they fittingly were reported getting into a fight with Goofy.

CBS also referenced Los Angeles Lakers wing J.R. Smith throwing soup at an assistant coach, Miami Heat wing Jimmy Butler being an insanely hard worker, and Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma taking selfies in illegal places.

The New England Patriots also got a cameo as CBS referenced their cheating scandals.

Give it a watch. With the drama that constantly surrounds the NBA, who knows how much of it may actually be true.
