The Carolina Panthers can have up to 5,200 people in the stands at Bank of America Stadium for Sunday’s home game against the Arizona Cardinals, according to The Athletic’s Joseph Person.

The contest will be the first home game with fans in the stands for the Carolina Panthers in 2020.

The move comes after North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper signed off on Sept. 22, allowing stadiums over 10,000 seats to have 7% capacity.

So far, eight teams have opened at least partly on game days, with more planning on doing the same as the year progresses.

Sunday’s contest would be the second contest the Cardinals have played in front of fans.

Last Sunday against the Detroit Lions, Arizona started allowing 750 friends and family members to attend homes games.

The Cardinals are 5-12 all-time against the Panthers, dating back to 1995. The two last played in Charlotte in 2016, with Carolina winning that contest, 30-20, in front of 74,088 fans.

Expect Sunday’s rematch to be a bit quieter with such a sparse crowd spread throughout the venue.
