The Arizona Cardinals added another option to their secondary on Tuesday, signing cornerback Prince Amukamara to the team’s practice squad.

In a corresponding move, the team released wide receiver Jaron Brown from the practice squad.

Amukamara, 31, spent last season with the Chicago Bears, starting all 15 games he played. Originally the 19th overall pick by the New York Giants in the 2011 NFL Draft, Amukamara has 99 starts and 10 interceptions to his name in the NFL.

The Glendale, Ariz., native out of Apollo High School played his first five seasons with the Giants before one year in Jacksonville and was in Chicago for his last three.

He was also named a Cardinals High School Player of the Week in September of 2006.

Brown rejoined the organization after spending two seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. He also spent a week of training camp with the San Francisco 49ers this August before he was released.

Brown spent his first five NFL seasons with Arizona, appearing in 71 games with 12 starts from 2013-17. He accumulated 1,177 yards and nine touchdowns during that span.
