Devin Booker can’t get enough of the three-point contest. The Phoenix Suns guard is back in the competition for the fifth time.

The 24-year-old will be in the shootout for the fourth straight year. Booker finished third in 2016, won it in 2018, didn’t advance to the finals in 2019 and was second last year to Sacramento Kings guard Buddy Hield.

Booker still holds the record for most points in a single round, racking up 28 in 2018. That’s a record for a single round and in the finals as well.

While Booker will have an advantage with experience, no one in the field has competed in a NBA three-point contest like this year’s.

That’s because “All-Star Saturday Night” will be condensed into the All-Star Game on Sunday. The three-point contest and skills challenge will take place pregame and the dunk contest will serve as part of the halftime show.

The rest of the field with Booker is Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine, Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell and Boston Celtics guard Jayson Tatum. All five of those players, like Booker, are All-Stars that will be playing in the game later that night.

Booker won’t be alone that day. His teammate Chris Paul is also an All-Star and will be competing in the skills challenge.
